Sara Cate’s Salacious Players Club

A Sexy, Smutty, and Sensual Peek Into The BDSM Lifestyle

One thing I absolutely stan, is a good dose of smut with an actual plot. When I stumbled upon the first book of the Salacious Players’ Club series, I grabbed it just off of the strength of tiktok’s reviews. Boy, was I in for a treat.

The premise of the Salacious Players’ Club, is four friends who were working together at a failing company decide to start an app. What kind of app, you ask? Well, it’s an app that connects people with others who share their deepest, darkest, sexual fantasies. And if that sounds interesting, trust me it is.

When the first book starts, these four founders have finally opened their first BDSM lifestyle club. Now, I know lifestyle parties are a thing, but being that I’ve never been to one. I did not know what to expect. These books do such a good job of explaining the reality of BDSM and other kink relationships, without making them sound dirty.

Really quickly in this article I’m going to tell you about the first four books of the series and see if I can convince you to read them.

Before I begin, I would like to preface that these books are smut. There is no question about it. These books have a lot of open door spicy scenes that are not suitable for children.

Now let’s get started with:

Praise.

ree

Charlie Underwood has finally broken up with her ex-boyfriend Beau. But when she goes to retrieve her half of their rent check from Beau’s father, she stumbles into something that she may not have been ready for.

Emerson Grant mistakes his son‘s ex-girlfriend for one of his submissive. Once he realizes his mistakes, he offers Charlie a job. A job as his secretary, but as they say, once you open the door, you are bound to go in.

Praise is the first installment of the Salacious Players’ Club series, and it starts off strong. This is a dominant and submissive relationship, which most people are usually envisioning when they think of BDSM.

Next:

Eyes On Me.

ree

Garrett Porter likes to watch. You know what I mean. And one day he stumbles upon a camgirl app where he finds someone he knows. His stepsister.

Mia is a cam girl because she genuinely enjoys it. So imagine her surprise when she meets a mystery watcher who she thinks she might be falling for. The catch? He’s her stepbrother.

Eyes On Me is an interesting second book. I think that if you are not used to voyeurism and exhibitionism, this can be a bit jarring, but once again, Sara Cate writes these relationships with such tact that you understand that these kinks are normal and a healthy part of these couple’s lives.

Third up:

Give Me More.

ree

Drake is a sexually liberated man in his 30s. He knows he’s fine, and he uses his looks to get him what he wants.

Hunter is one of the owners of the Salacious Players’ Club. When he opened the club, he acts Drake to head construction. Drake is Hunter‘s best friend, so of course he says yes. But his yes doesn’t stop there.

Give Me More is a story about a husband who likes to watch. And they say three is a crowd, but what if they’re all in love with each other?

This book is SMUTTY. Please do not go into this book expecting there to be a million cushy love scenes.

Don’t get me wrong, of course there’s gonna be the cutesy love moments between the characters, but they gets down. And this book has some male on male scenes, so if that’s not something you’re into I don’t recommend it at all.

And last, but DEFINITELY not least, we have:

Mercy.

ree

Maggie is the only female owner of the Salacious Players’ Club. The catch is Maggie doesn’t think she has a kink. That is until she takes the quiz on the app.

Remember Beau? Beau takes the quiz on the Salacious app. And as fate will have it, he matches with Maggie. Neither of them really know what they’re doing, but they’re committed to figuring it out together.

I think this book is a mirror of praise, but it is so refreshing to see a woman in the role as a domme. The journey of Maggie, figuring out her sexuality and how she wants to present herself and her sexual relationship relationships is very freeing to witness.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series. It is important to know there are two more books in this series, but I only read the first four because I only felt attached to the four owners of the club.

I really like the way Sara Cate writes and I definitely am looking forward to reading more of her work.
