Summertime is about memories. It's about vacations, nice weather, cookouts, and MUSIC FESTIVALS. Although I'd call Dreamville the festival that starts the year, everyone knows summer produces the heavy hitters like Rolling Loud, Broccoli Fest, Lollapalooza, and more. Not to mention some of the best tours start during the summer! This is #TheMove to scope your next musical adventure.
I know what some of you may be wondering. What's the difference between a festival and a concert? Well the biggest one is more performers. Most festivals typically have more artists featured because it spans over a course of days. The other big difference is the venue. Because of the size of occupants and talent, most festivals are outdoors with multiple stages.
Before we get into all the fun stuff. There are some tips you should reference before going to either. 1. Make sure you stay hydrated 2. Make sure you're phone is charged up 3. Stay with your group (especially at a festival) 4. Wear comfy shoes or shoes you don't mind standing in for a long time. 5. Pregame before you go (get lit responsibly) 6. HAVE FUN
Here are a few upcoming festivals that you'll probably want to check out.
The Made in America festival and Lil Weezyana festivals are catching my eye the most. If you're kind of bummed you missed some of the other notable festivals here are some sets from the most recent two (Broccoli Fest and Rolling Loud-Miami). You can also always Youtube to find sets or full festivals you want to check out but can't quite afford right now.
Rolling Loud
Broccoli Fest
The festivals aren't the only exciting thing to look forward too. Drake and 21 Savage announced their It's All A Blur tour, and are currently traveling the country. You can expect a lot of hits from their joint album as well as their solo careers. And let me tell you, Drake in concert is an experience!
(This was Dreamville and my first time seeing Drake in concert. Also "Over" is my fave song from him tehehe).
Brent Faiyaz is also on his Wasteland tour. He'll more than likely perform some oldies but goodies and a few Sonder faves as well. I'd definitely make sure to check him out. His tour dates are here. Last but never least, MUVA has arrived. Beyonce's Renaissance tour has finally made it to the states and to say it's an experience is an understatement. People are going in full Drag Ball attire, they're doing the choreography, and most of all just having fun. Honestly if I can find some $200 tickets I might force going and cry about being broke at the end of the year or something. Her set list features a range of discography from classics like "Dangerously in Love" to her ratchet era with songs like "Drunk in Love".

As you can see, summer might almost be over, but the musical magic is still in the air. What concert or festival are you going to?
See ya at the next #Move :)
