I know Christmas is over, but that doesn't mean the holiday season is through. There are still plenty of ways for you, your family, and friends to have some winter fun. Keep reading to find #TheMove before you have to go back to work and school in the new year.
In Connecticut, there's plenty of cold weather for all the outdoor activities like tubing, sledding, snowboarding, etc. at the Powder Ridge resort or Mohawk Mountain. That is, if your backyard doesn't get covered in snow first. If that doesn't excite you, try checking out reindeer at Beardsley Zoo or you could visit the Connecticut Trolley Museum at night for an awesome lights tour. If none of those activities satisfied your Winter spirit, you can look for more here.
In North Carolina, a few fun holiday spots for you to try would be the Chinese Lantern Festival in Cary, First Eve (New Years Eve)Celebration in Southern Pines, or a candlelight tour of the Biltmore house-an old historic estate with a restaurant and winery-in Asheville. You can also partake in your typical Winter outdoor activities like snowboarding, sledding, tubing, etc. if you visit the more rural and frigid areas of North Carolina like Asheville, Boone, and other parts of western North Carolina.
In the DC Metropolitan area including Northern Virginia, you'll find there's more than enough Winter delights for you to partake in. You could look at the National Christmas Tree on the White House Ellipse in D.C., see ice sculptures and ice skate at the Gaylord in Maryland, or go see a play at the Signature Theatre in Virginia. Lastly, if all else fails you can plan a good old fashioned New Year's Eve party. A New Year is typically the holiday people come up with resolutions and new ways to improve their life or lifestyle. You could use the opportunity to write down goals you want to accomplish or just celebrate with the ones you love and your favorite snacks! Either way this holiday season isn't up yet. Take this time to enjoy and prepare yourself for all the blessings and success coming your way in 2023. Cheers to the New Year and new MOVES!
HAPPY NEW YEARRRRR! (just pretend people)
