what was it about sneakers that got you in the game?

Growing up in Bridgeport, especially going to Longfellow school, it was a big thing to have on some fly sneakers, so it was just something I grew up on.

I remember when I was in fifth grade, there was this girl that was in 7th grade and she came to school everyday with a different pair of sneakers. Never repeated a sneaker and that’s when I told myself I wanted to own a lot of sneakers.

What was your first sneaker?

All white AF1 was the first sneaker I repeatedly would buy growing up.

Your favorite pair? (or top 3)

Air max 97’s gold and red ones, Yeezy wave runners, and pink and white low dunks.

What is your favorite sneaker memory?

I have ALOT! My favorite memory was when I was in high school, I wore my jordans for two weeks straight, I can’t remember the name of the sneaker, but I wore it because that was the only sneaker I owned at the time that matched my uniform and this boy made fun of me because I wore them. He said that that was the only sneaker I had. Little did he know how many sneakers I owned!

That day my best friend stood up for me and I just remember laughing it off and telling myself, I never will or have had to prove myself to anyone what I own and I encourage everyone to never have to prove to anyone what they are about or what they own.

Do you consider yourself a collector of sneakers? & Do you wear your sneakers?

Yes and yes.

What's your favorite brand of sneaker and why?

Nike is my favorite brand of sneakers because I grew up on them and especially more than ever now I see how Nike is big on representation and I love that.

Your favorite sneaker campaign?

My favorite sneaker campaign would have to be the Nike Air Max campaign for Footlocker women. It fit so perfectly because Air Max’s are my favorite sneaker style and it brought me to another level in my career.
