Quality: Hard to Trust.

Brooklyn Artist Quality releases his lead single, Hard to Trust off of his new album. A lot has gone into the reemergence of Quality as an artist, and it all starts with the release of this new single.

Quality has described this song as one of his favorites on the album, which is why it was selected to be released as a single first. “The song is about growth” he said. It’s about trying to be your best possible self even if you know you aren’t doing that right now. Specifically within relationships, he is trying to drive home the point that you can always do more. “I know I haven’t always been the best, I’ve been trying to be better” Quality lamented. The song provides multiple applications for fans to discern meaning from and enjoy.

Although this song has a very deep meaning to Quality, that does not mean he does not once again flex his rapping ability with “New York Braggadocio” as he puts it. That he turns into a heartfelt record that marries two styles.

After listening to the track, Quality evokes emotion in his audience through his lyricism, cadence and emphasizing what is important to him. I think it is a sign of great things to come for the rest of the project.

This single also comes with the promise of a new project for Quality. Where he focuses on ideas like living in a post college world, and trying to make a name for himself in the rap game. Quality has used this project to work on problems he sees within himself. This is an effort to make his listeners more introspective because of the vulnerable subject material. “The theme of the album is the growth of a man in today’s society” and the release of this lead single should illuminate the ideas and themes that Quality has tried to weave into the project.

With the release of Hard to trust Quality has proclaimed “I’m fully back in the music” after somewhat of a hiatus he is ready to take himself from a campus hero in Buffalo New York to a household name in the whole state.
