Fair warning, I am bias and now in love with Destin Conrad! If you're a hater, please exit the chat now.
Story dates back to June of 2023, I went to an album release event at Republic Records and just so happen to sit next to this beautiful human named, Ryder. Ryder is a photographer and a visual story teller. We exchanged IG's & I sat and continued to watch her build within these last few years. There was a moment where she started to post this artist that she was working with named Destin Conrad, was more than just. a few posts so I knew they were locked in. There was something brewing.
Funny enough, last October, I was hanging out with my talented friend, Manuel. Watching him paint his art and we're chit-chatting about vibes. He tells me that I should listen to this artist because he felt like I'd really enjoy their music. He started to play some songs off of Submissive. Caught a little bit of my ear but not too much where I was locked in as we were getting deeper into conversation. Told me that I needed to listen to it on my own time.
Few months go by and I am scrolling on Twitter as I actively do. This is around May and I see a random tweet from a music page that I follow, with just the video for Kissing In Public. I was in.. AWE!
This post right here locked in TF in! Got me in formation QUICK. I ended up wanting it in my veins, that album went diamond in my ears, my speakers, my headphones, and my office lobby.
The 25 year old has taken the drivers seat to steer R&B in the right direction. A TRUE STAR! The 2000's babies are quite alright if you ask me. Storming in from Florida, he is one of them ones!
After I took a break to loop into Amber Marks, I made it my mission to get acclimated with Destin. I took my time to deep dive into his earlier work. Had to bring it to TikTok to link with my new community because hellllooooo????? I cant be the only one addicted to this. I do have to a follow up! Follow me on TT, its on the way!
That video was made and posted on July 2nd and I believe about a week after, he announced tour dates. Automatically grabbed a ticket. Got a ticket to Philly during the presale. At that moment I was so deeply obsessed with COLORWAY & SATIN. I've had those in loop alongside LOD since July. Day 1's were telling me to tap into SUBMISSIVE and SUBMISSIVE2.
Once I got the tickets, I took a step back & let other rnb consume me. August 28th, wHIMSY released. THREW ME FOR A LOOP! CANT GET ENOUGH OF IT ACTUALLY!!!! Still to this very given morning, listen to wHIMSY as the first sounds to be played in my office. The office LOVES it. So of course, all of September has been devoted to that album and the centering it brings me.
Now let's get into October 4th and October 8th. Love on Digital tour is reaching it's halfway mark and I spent a beautiful day in Philly awaiting show time.

It was such a beautiful show. A true time was had in the comfort of the balcony seats. Staff was amazing, it was intimate, it was a great show. Within the first 30 minutes of Destin's set, I purchased my ticket for Brooklyn Paramount's show that coming Thursday. I knew the show was going to be amplified, electric, and moving for me. We got introduced to Mack Keane and Daniel Venz. The live band aspect was sooooo beautifully perfected. Loved Mack's set, was obsessed with the fact he sat for the show and was apart of the entire experience. He had phenomenal crowd engagement. People were in the crowd singing his songs, truly a 10/10 show.

Fast forward to BROOKLYN THOOOOOOOOOOOOO?! Brooklyn was 1000/10. There were laughs, tears, so many moments of stillness, and KEHLANI!
The outfit changes were SO beautiful not that I expected anything less. He came out in this all denim outfit which I adored, then changed into this beautiful white piece that was mesmerizing. Big ups to the stylist for this tour. Nothing went unnoticed.
Seeing him fill Brooklyn Paramount was heavy on my heart. It was the biggest show on the tour and we sold it out. Destin thanked us a million times and really made us feel so loved. The amount of fun you could tell he was having on the stage was beautiful. He was so content with the way the show went and I was so happy for him. No drama in the crowd, all love in line, so much synergy was present.

I am sooooo happy for Destin. As I am a new fan, to see him grow so fast with in the year has been so beautiful. Clapping for him this year has been a highlight of mine. Grateful that I got to see him twice and was delighted to see how much love New York showed him during his time here.
He deserves all the wins and blessings he is receiving. Cannot wait to continue to clap for him during his superstardom. We have our next hit wonder present and in our faces.
If you're not in tune, you are super far behind. Cheers to R&B not being dead.
