Hurri Haran is the perfect storm.

Hurri Haran is not a new name or face to this platform. In 2023, he earned Brooklyn's Rookie of The Year title. 2024 is his year to take over the world by storm.

Releasing 'Beyonce' got him his wave right before summer broke. Going viral on Youtube, now resting with a solid 57k views, Hurri is the perfect storm. Incorporating that island sound with current day auto tune, vivid story-telling, and that flow that you can't help but to dance and be stuck singing the rest of the day.

Hurri is a few years younger than me which I love for both him and I because he has so many more years ahead of him to win and enjoy. He has introduced me to a group of creatives who are all his friends and peers. These are the same people who go to every single performance and sing his songs for him. Friends like Tae Mack, Genovia, Cole, Moe, and many, MANY more. Both release and unreleased. I got to experience this for the first time at The Dean in the city for one of his first performances with DJ Bobby Trends.

As the year has continued, Hurri has released several singles. On & On, Seven Seas, and his latest, Can't Deny. I am biased and love all of his music so I can't say which one is my favorite. What I can say is that he has another summer anthem on his hands. I got to be a part of his WhoRunItNYC performance for On & On, which was so much fun. I got to meet more of his visually creative peers as well as the co-creators of the song. Friends like Asher, Jose, Konfused, and Matt.

Whoever is on Hurri's team at Arista Records is scaling the artist proper. All of the superstar's music is listed under different genres. Seven Seas is under the genre of Afro-Pop, On & On along with Can't Deny are under the genre of R&B/Soul, and Beyonce is listed under Reggae. I love the fact that his team is positioning him on different avenues to be discovered by the world. Arista Records is an American record label under Sony Music Entertainment. I was able to meet some of his team at his listening event for Can't Deny at Belaire HQ in February, where I met the producers of the single, FK-47 and Chadavellii.

Recently the storm had headlined his first SOB's show. Ironically enough, I was already promoting that show. We were at his Belaire experience and as him and I were stepping out, I got the email that he was the new headliner. Another experience I got to experience his core fans sing his songs for him. Youngest on the line-up, most engaged audience, everyone had his merch on, and travels with the perfect DJ, Sounds Of Reality. Well deserved for him. So happy I got to be apart and in attendance for another win of his.

When it comes to Can't Deny, I was blessed with very early access to both versions of the single. We were both just up at 4am one day, he randomly texted me and asked me for feedback on them. He expressed that he was having trouble on how he was going to release both versions because he loved them both so much. I had pitched to him that he should release both. One 'sped up' version and the regular version. They both equally hit. They both have a time and a place to be played. They both deserve to be on dsp's. And my guyzer did just that. My favorite is the sped up version, Ive been telling him it just gives me bashement vibes. I think Work video is the main inspo for me & he def delivered that.

If you ask me, Hurri Haran is the best new artist. Like I started this piece off with, he is not a new face or name to the platform. Get in tune before the summer time because you don't want to be late to the party.
