Coi Leray - Trendsetters.

Coi Leray is a top competitor in my eyes. The biggest for real. I remember Coi released this the same day Fivio released his album and they both had features on each others albums.I thought that was fireeeee! Coi Leray gave us an experience inside of a 20 song album. Having heavy hitting features like Lil Tecca, Polo G, G Herbo, Nicki Minaj, and Pooh Shiesty. I enjoyed the fact there was an intermission song, "Be Me" with Wallo267 and Gillie from Million Dollars Worth Of Game. Overall, phenomenal material. Trendsetter will always be in my playlists. But I usually play it from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed this piece of work. My favorite songs on the album were Theif In The Night featuring G Herbo, Box & Papers, Lonely Fans, Heart In A Coffin, and Aye Yai Yai featuring Yung Bleu. Beat selection was perfect and all of the music had their own feels to them. I cant wait to hear what else Coi has in stores following up on Players.

Drake -- Honestly, Nevermind.

Honestly, Nevermind was one of them ones. Zero doubt about it. Drake changed a lot of ears with this piece of music. 14 songs, 53 minutes worth of frequencies. I remember being at SoundCloud's Next Wav event in New York. I remember being in the courtyard and he looked down at his phone and looked up and said, "Drake is dropping tonight."

I took my time listening to this project. I always take 2-3 months to listen to newer music because the timeline is going to do what it does within the first 7-21 days. I want to experience everything with no expectation. I listened to it while driving back from the beach one time. All I remember hearing was the beats. The wind was blowing so loud, that's legit all I could hear. Got home. Gave it a few days.. Then I had a meeting for The Station and we were going to discuss experiential music so I had to listen. I smoked prior to and cleaned my apartment to it. Perfect. 30/10.

Drake dropped international music on the United States and its something not everyone will understand. That is music you hear in Europe, in France, in Spain. That's the sound you hear in clubs outside of hip-hop clubs. People do drugs and other adventurous things to music of that frequency and sound. It's electric. It's magnifying. The genre its listed under is: Dance. Drake knew what he was doing. I loved every second of it. Another album I listen to from start to finish.
