Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
My name is Nnamdi! My artist name is Gogo, which also happens to be my last name. I'm from the Bronx, NY but I have been living in Bridgeport, CT for majority of my life at this point.
When did you start making music, why?
First song I ever made was in high school the same year “Rollin” came out by Waka Flocka because I did a freestyle to it in my boys basement studio. But my first real song was made in October 2019 and released Jan 2020. I wouldn't say I was lost but I needed to try something so music was the route that chose me.

How would you define your sound? Who is your “average” listener?
I believe my sound is a blend of different vibes. Afro, reggae, rap, house, pop, you name it. I make the kind of music that can play in the background at a house party, in a lounge, in the car on the way to work, etc. My producer and I like to say we make "weekday music". Alot of artists are chasing club bangers whereas we just want to make consistent fire chunes.
I would say my average listener is anyone getting up and trying to go get it, whatever their “it” is.
Who would you say some of your influences are in the music industry?
My influences in the industry are Jim Jones, Currency, Tory Lanez, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.

What is your favorite thing about making music and releasing it to the world?
It’s therapeutic. Knowing that anyone anywhere can hear my song and genuinely like it to the point where they want to save and play it again. We live in a world where so much music is released DAILY. So I just appreciate being appreciated. Its the little things.
What is your studio ritual?
I usually take my shoes off. Big Dustfoot in the spot shhhh dont make it hot!

What is your favorite song of yours?
My favorite song of mine is an unreleased song named Morals, dropping sometime in 2023.
Biggest lesson you’ve learned since the start of your career?
Biggest lesson I have learned is to listen to yourself. Trust your gut. Once I started making music it seems as if life got a clearer. I make better decisions and just work to be a better person as well as a better musician everyday. Biggest lesson you’ve learned since the start of your career?

What has been your favorite or biggest accomplishment this year?
My biggest accomplishment this year would be getting 1K plays on a song in about 6 months, my fastest 1K to date!
What's the theme song to your life?
The theme song of my life would be my own song titled Never Let Go. Meaning I am never going to let go of the hunger and determination I have to be successful in the music business as well as anything else I set my mind to.
