Lamar Jackson saw action in only 12 games of the 2022-23 NFL season. Despite suffering a season ending injury, Jackson completed 62% of his passes while eclipsing 2200+ yards through the air and 17 passing touchdowns. The Ravens had an 8-4 record with Lamar as their starting Quarterback and went 2-4 without him, who eventually lost in the Wildcard of the NFL playoffs to divisional foe, the Cincinnati Bengals. Jackson is entering year 6 in the NFL and has made headlines after failing to get a guaranteed contract with the Ravens. It's being reported from analyst that NFL franchises aren't looking to offer the Former NFL MVP a lucrative Deal. Jackson was franchise tagged by the Ravens with a contract that undermines Jackson's talent and ability; Despite Lamar's accolades and contribution to the Ravens organization.
My Take:
Lamar is not wrong for wanting a bigger contract. Some deem him injury prone despite 3 injuries in 5 years. He’s been disrespected as a Dual Threat Quarterback by being called a "running back" but he's an unanimous MVP, 2x Pro Bowler, and 1x All Pro Quarterback whos led the NFL in touchdown passes while having arguably one of the less talented receiver cores in the league and an Offensive Coordinator that doesn't utilize an efficient passing scheme. Lamar has led the Ravens to SEVEN 4th Quarter comebacks victories and TEN game winning drives thus far in his career. Jackson's career record is 45-16 as a starter and has the ability to scare opposing defenses with his arm, legs, and football IQ. He has every right to seek the deal he deserves especially while other Franchises have Quaterbacks with fewer accolades, passing stats, and career wins.

Best Landing Spots for Jackson:

The Ravens wont offer Lamar the contract he desires and he prefers to be traded, franchises like the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, Washington Commanders, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be great landing spots for him. Each of these franchise has need at the Quarterback position. The Panthers, Texans and Colts are more than likely to draft an incoming rookie with their early draft picks but could still utilize Lamar's ability and draft protection and talent around him for the future.
