Top 5 Sneaker releases: June, 2022

Summer is back, and your best feets are finally safe again from the elements hopefully. While some of your favorite shoes may be making their first appearance of the season, June provides no shortage of new releases for you to bolster your collection. Here are my top 5 shoes that came out and are yet to come out this month.

5. Nike Dunk Fruity Pack “Green Apple” Release date: 6/1/22

While the rest of the dunks in this pack weren’t exactly what I like from dunks, the green apples were definitely my favorite from this release. Green is personally my favorite color, and while all of them followed a monochromatic theme, the colors on these provides more of a contrast while still matching the theme of the pack. The rest of the color ways feel like a force in order to fit the “fruity” motif, but the "Green Apples" have a more natural design and not just bright colors slapped on to a hype silhouette.

4. Air Jordan 9 “Particle Grey” Release date: 6/20/22

The Jordan 9 is nowhere near one of my favorite Jordans, but the “particle greys” do the model justice. Taking inspirations from classic Jordon color ways like “Concord” and “Cool Grey” these shoes are a great example of less is more. The black upper and the grey midsole is a timeless color combo, and the red accents are classic. These definitely will provide massive utility for your collection.

3. Yeezy Foam Runner “Onyx” Release date: 6/8/22

Just in time for summer, the “onyx” foam runners were re-released on June 8th. These are the perfect light weight and breathable slipper for the warm weather, these shoes are rumored to have multiple releases this summer so I would hold off on paying re-sale prices if you can’t cop the day of the drop. With this being one of Yeezy’s most popular models right now, they’re a blend of comfort while still giving you that high end notoriety that so many sneaker heads look for today.

2. Jordan 4 “Infrared” Release date: 6/15/22

The Jordan four is one of the most popular Jordan silhouettes on the market right now, and The Jordan Brand is capitalizing on that with multiple Jordan four releases this month with another classic Jordan color way the “Infrared” popularized by the Jordan six. Similar to what I like about the “Particle Grey” nines, neutral colors with red accents are a staple of Jordan designs and will fetch a hefty price on sites like GOAT and StockX for all my re-sellers out there. With current resale prices on the model already close to double retail. I know there are many fans of fours out there and at the mid-point of this month you will have your opportunity to get another pair, or your first ever.

1. The Maison Chateau Rouge X Air Jordan 2 “United Youth International” Release date: 6/24/22

Collaborations have been very popular in recent years and they can be hit or miss for me, but I love what they were able to do with a less popular Jordan model in the Jordan two. The main pitfall of a lot of these collabs has been trying to do too much, but with these they let the shoe do the talking with accents of fun colors, making the shoe unique while still staying true to the silhouette. These give a new and unique look to the model, which is what collabs are supposed to do, but they didn’t fall into the trap of trying to over design the shoe. These stand out and will certainly turn heads this summer.
