This week I’ll be speaking on my favorite top 3 Air Jordan releases so far in 2022. All the shoes chosen are my personal preference due to specific colors, styles, fabric ect. That were used on the shoe.
Coming in at number 3 I’ve listed the Midnight Navy Jordan 3s. If you own the maroon 6s then you know how long we’ve been waiting for the midnight 6s. The midnight navy 6s were first released back in 2000 and made a come back this year May 10th after 22 years.

The midnights happen to be one of the first non OG colors ways to hit the release boards back in it’s time. Featuring a crisp white foundation, midnight navy mid sole & tongue, icy bottoms and navy heel tab. Did you know the Jordan 6 silhouette was designed by Tinker Hatfield & heel tabs were introduced into the Jordan brand to imitate the rear spoiler of a sports car?

Listed at number 2 I chose the Cardinal Air Jordan 3s. I know some people are going to say fire red 3s will always hold the place of the best 3s that include a red color way, but I disagree. The Jordan brand has a habit of not giving us what we want, but they actually came through with the color choices for the Cardinals, from the the bloody red mid sole & the touches of mustardy orange for the bottom lace loops and Jordan sign worked together so well. The shoe released Feb 19th of this year.
The first Jordan 3 was made in 1988 and retailed for $100. It holds its mark on the charts as one of the best Air Jordan’s to ever be made till this day and if you didn’t know Mr. Hatfield created this silhouette also, he plays a major role in creating majority of the Air Jordan silhouette’s. If you love sneakers as much as you say you do & know nothing about Mr. Hatfield ? I suggested you do your research.

Last but not least rolling in at number 1, we have the Air Jordan 2 Union collaboration. This collaboration brought forward two different color ways and both were a breath of fresh air. The first pair are the “Rattan” with a cream and tan foundation with specks of golden yellow and reds. The second pair are the “Grey Fog” a light grey with blue undertone foundation, white midsole, specks of baby blue, yellow & cream. Despite OG releases, as time has evolved some of Jordan’s best shoes thus far have been collaborations and i think this one deserves a spot at the top.
Jordan 2s were first released in 1985. The maker of the Air Jordan 1 silhouette: Peter Moore and the genius behind the legendary Air Force 1: Bruce Kilgore came together and created the Air Jordan 2. Which being the second Jordan silhouette to be released it was the first silhouette ever to be produced without the Nike swoosh on the side.
It is great to see the Jordan brand taking a chance on new color ways and collaborations. We hope to see the Jordan brand reach out to some talent that is seen every day on social media. What were your first pair of Air Jordan’s ?
