IEMBE is next up in High Fashion.

Travis Terry has established himself with his luxury fashion brand IEMBE, and with the help of people like his mother he has thrust himself into a position to be the next big thing in high fashion.

In spring of 2019, Terry saw a need within a space and was able to fill a niche that is all his own. The name IEMBE (I-EM-BEE) stands for the popular phrase, "In My Bag". This is a representation of the mindset that Terry holds himself and the mindset of his target audience. The pieces that he creates are meant to command any room that they are in and be seen as an immediate eye catcher.

The brand creates different garments and accessories with the most popular item being their tote bag. The accessory functions as a handbag, crossbody bag, and backpack that comes with functional removable straps and in a variety of vibrant colors. They are also made with vegan cruelty free leather.

These bags not only add a great accessory to any outfit but also minimizes any environmental impact that production may cause. The brand also features many unique naming conventions that accurately describe the pieces without using boring adjectives that state the color.

ways he also uses this as an opportunity to honor breast cancer patients with the color of this bag, just another way Terry has used his platform in the best possible way. With the recent restock of the "Gretchen"(left) and "THEE IEMBE BAG" (black) and the addition of the "mini Gretchen"(right) which is a downsized version of the classic tote, now you have more options than ever to get in your bag with Travis Terry.

Terry’s mother was also instrumental in the rise of IEMBE, even becoming the defacto face of the brand. She has frequently been used as a model to show off some of the bags, one tweet even going viral and garnishing attention from the likes of Cardi B, and the rapper Bia who was one of the first celebs to rep the brand. Travis and his mother also appeared on Good Morning America to talk about the brand late in 2022, and this year Mario Lopez with Access Hollywood did a story on IEMBE which will be fundamental in the continued growth of the brand. Terry took the popularity of his mother and used it as a way to honor her after losing his father shortly after his graduation from Clark Atlanta. While Terry’s creativity in his designs is surely a huge reason for his quick success there is no question Laverne Terry had a big role to play as well.

Travis and Laverne Terry have clearly stuck to their namesake staying in their bag as IEMBE continues to take off. This Black owned and eco-friendly brand is ready to take the reins of the fashion industry as they continue to trailblaze this unique path.
